Jean Baverstock’s research focussed on using tree rings from the Outeniqua yellowwood (Afrocarpus falcatus formerly Podocarpus falcatus) to reconstruct past climate variability in the Karkloof area of the KZN Midlands. This work was co-supervised by Prof. Stephan Woodborne at iThemba Laboratories. Jean is working as an environmental consultant.
